hello everybody,I'm from Argentina. I'm studying at a teacher training college to become a teacher in English. I consider this course a very difficult task to achieve because, although many people speak in English in private institutions, it does not happen the same in everyday life. So, I invite you all to tell your experiences as teachers from second language learners of English.

I am afraid do not have the right background to offer any suggestions and exchange. This is just to say you are not alone in your difficulties. English is a useful language to learn, and there are many many more like you around the world. The key is to get yourself motivated to read, write, listen and speak more, and use the language.

Gabriela, I am a bit familiar with conditions in Argentina thanks to the work of Pablo Toledo, who is, to my mind, one of the most important language teachers of his generation. English is my first language, not my second, so I have not tried to do what you are in the process of doing.
What kind of stories are you interested in? Do you want to hear about people like you, making the transition from foreign language learner to foreign language teacher, or do you simply want to know about the difficulties of learning how to teach a language?
I would like to emphasize that the most important thing for you to learn is not, as far too many people believe, having an absolutely perfect command of English. Bar none, the most important characteristic of being a professional language teacher is the careful preparation of lessons. If you stick with that, you very simply cannot go wrong. Whatever mistakes you make in the beginning, whatever problems you have, your students will recognize and achnowledge your efforts on one level or another.
