Difficulties in studying to be an engish teacher in a non- native english country

hello everybody,
I'm from Argentina. I'm studying at a teacher training college to become a teacher in English. I consider this course a very difficult task to achieve because, although many people speak in English in private institutions, it does not happen the same in everyday life. So, I invite you all to tell your experiences as teachers from second language learners of English.

Gabriela, I am a bit familiar with conditions in Argentina thanks to the work of Pablo Toledo, who is, to my mind, one of the most important language teachers of his generation. English is my first language, not my second, so I have not tried to do what you are in the process of doing.
