Different Way to Phrase this?

"… makes me a perfect candidate to make such a transition."

I feel as though the two "makes" makes for a clunky sentence. I'd really like to feel better about this sentence before sending it in. Any synonyms for make I can use here? Appreciate the help. Haven't posted here in a while. Thanks.

Hi Samir; The sentence is rather strange. Are you going to make a transition from being a student to being an employee?

Hi,

In what way? But no, this is related to changing careers. Thank you.

So you are transitioning from one profession to another?

That is correct. Thank you.

Still the sentence is strange. You can be a good candidate for a position - that's fine, but a good candidate to change professions is something a bit odd to say.

What is the context?

"I believe my expertise in areas like data mining, together with my background in sales, makes me an ideal candidate to make such a transition"

Thank you for the advice, but I still fail to see how this is an odd thing to say. Regardless, you wouldn't happen to have a synonym for "make" would you?

Apparently my helper abandoned me—possibly somehow I offended him/her?

Can anyone else out there help me? Ty.

Respectfully, of course,

AS is not easily offended. Please remember that we are all volunteers here, and we come and we go as we please. There are also many other students with questions, and our time is limited.

'Areas like data mining' leaves the reader nonplussed as to what those might be. Be m

Mister Micawber has a good version.
But you are applying for some position or job, right? You are not applying for a transition, are you? It is just a coincidence that the new position represents a change in profession. Many people move from engineering to management to training to sales, etc. What they do depends on what positions are available that they are qualified for.
