Different version of sale

I will be going to look at yard sales this weekend. My sister ask me to do something with her but I told her I would be yard saling...
I know "saling" is not a word but how would you state it.
It's like I am saying...I will be shopping...instead of shopping I will be going to yard sales, how would you use "sale"? This has bothered me for years, now that I stumbled upon this website, I thought I would try to find out. Thank you.

Personally, I always say "yard saling" (or, in my area, "garage saling." I know it's not correct, but it's kind of a pun on "sailing" and it's useful. The correct way to say it would have to use a "real" verb, as in "I'll be going to yard sales."
