Different than what I thought ? or different than what I've thought ? or......

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20150702080105AA10GsZ

Which sentence is correct ?

1. They love each other much different than what I've thought.

2. They love each other much different than what I thought.

3. They love each other much different than what I had thought

4. They love each other much different than what I would have thought. Personally I think all of them are correct except number 1; even though the sentence itself sounds a bit weird.

They are all wrong (you are incorrectly trying to use "different" as an adverb). I always have problems with sentences like this, but this might work: They love each other in a very different way than I (had) thought.

My vote is for They love each other much differently than I thought.

It's not an idea that is likely to be expressed often, however, as it is not very specific. It says neither how they do love each other nor how you thought they loved each other.
