Different or Differently

Hi,

I'm having some problems with the two words above...

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

1) To suggest that we would do anything differently/different is incorrect (I have no idea here!)

2) I would do things differently/different if I had the chance (I think differently)

3) You're not as differently/different from me (I think different)

Thanks again...

1. Both are correct but mean different things. Differently is an adverb and indicates that something would be done in a different way.

#1 — both will do, but they'd yield different meanings.
To do something differently means to do it in another way.
For exaple: Hey, that's the right answer but you can solve it differenty, in just three lines!
To do something different is... well I suppose you've got it. I means doing another thing.
For example: You've been sitting in fron the TV all day. You better do something d

How about when it's used like this: Our homework will look a little differently

"Different" describes the homework, but "differently" describes the action of looking. In order to look "differently," the homework would need eyes so it could look in a different way.

Hi, I have the same problem. There is this sentence: The meringues from different cities each taste .................. (different or differently). I guessed differently, but in results it shows different. I have no idea why. Shouldn´t the adverb be there? They taste how? Differently? Could anyone advise? Thanks a lot!
