Different one?

(A) A great many years ago, fisherman in Japan used birds to catch fish. (B) This art of fishing is said to be at least a thousand years old. (C) Today, however, fishing in this way has simply become a sport. (D) On summer nights, the fishing boats set out on rivers in various parts of the country. (E) This is simply because fishermen are not seriously interested in catching fish any longer. Which one disrupts the text? I think, D but I am not sure
