Different between was going and would going

Nobody thought he was going  to come.Nobody thought he would going to come.Roger thought mr.P was going to try kill him.  Roger thought mr.P would try to kill him.I thought the exam was going to be much easier.I thought the exam would be much easier than this.Could you explain what is different in meaning between two sentences.

Nobody thought he would ~~going to~~ come.The combination "would going to" is wrong.

Roger thought Mr.P was going to try kill him. OK. Informal.
Roger thought Mr.P would try to kill him. OK. This had fewer words than the above, and it means the same..

I thought the exam was going to be much easier.OK. Informal
I thought the exam would be much easier than this.OK. If you ignore the last two words, this has fewer words than the above, and it means the same..

You will hear both forms. Native speakers might prefer the sentences using "would." The difference is the same as these:

He is going to com tomorrow.
He will come tomorrow.

Mr. P. is going to try to kill Roger.
Mr. P will try to kill Roger.
