Different between "itself" and "per se"

Hi there,

What's the different between "itself" and "per se"?

1. Although I don't have any experience in selling fruit per se, I used to sell clothes.

2. Although I don't have any experience in selling fruit itself, I used to sell clothes.

More importantly, which should be used in where?

Many thanks! Maybe a silly question, what do you mean by NEITHER ? You won't use both of the usage?

I mean that I wouldn't use them at all in those sentence: omit them both.
