Different between is and was

Question

Hi I got some questions.1. He told me he need it to do homework and then I FIND this a picture of woman (this is one character speaks in drama )My question is why use "find" not "found "?? I listen many time but it says find !!2. A : I get up at 6 and I prepare meal.  B : that is you , A? I thought we had a racconWhy B use that is you?? Not that was you??3. " I'm the one who was stressed that day " and "I was the one who was stressed that day " both are same?? ( I will use this sentence in my homework) Thank you! !!!!!

Sometimes people use the present tense for past time just to make their story more interesting and exciting, as if it were happening right at that moment. I don't recommend that you use this kind of grammar until you are fairly fluent in English.

The simple present conveys the idea of repeated or habitual action. This says I do this again and again on a regular basis.

qjstB : That is you, A? I thought we had a raccoon.

Echoing the thought that this is repeated habitual action, the reply also uses the simple present.

If the whole dialog were in the past, talking about a one-time event, it would go like this:

— I got up and prepared a meal.
— That was you?

Yes. The tense in the first part of a cleft sentence can be the simple present or the simple past, i.e., is or was, though it's usually present. The rest of the sentence does not have to match in terms of verb tense.
