I think an "including" has been dropped from the bold sentence in the following context, am I right? I think it should have been "different aspects of popular culture including advertising, film, comic books, labour-saving devices, magazines and processed foods".
Context:
Richard Hamilton’s seminal work of Pop Art, Just What Is It that Makes Today’s Homes So Different, So Appealing? (1956) is in the spirit of Picasso’s Cubist collages and constitutes a mixture of source materials from different aspects of popular culture, advertising, film, comic books, labour-saving devices, magazines and processed foods (Art and Advertising by Joan Gibbons).
I agree with you. Clive
