Differences

I have three questions that i can't find the solution to sovle. Can everybody here help me?
1. What's the difference between INTENTION OF V-ing and INTENTION TO V-inf?
I see that they are quite the same. But when i do some of my exercises, sometimes the answer is intention to but sometimes is intention of.
2. What's the difference between 'may be' and 'be' in the sentences like this:
"However dangerous it may be / it is, he decides to choose the first direction.
3. Nouns after ANY are plural or singular?
There are some sentences using singular noun but plural noun in other situations.
I can't distinguish these situations. Please help. Thanks anyway.

Well my friend; when you say however dangerous it is, you are sure that it is dangerous. but when you use may be, it can be dangerous or not!

Maybe it is sure but maybe it is not.

When can we use plural after ANY and when singular?
