Could you explain (and give some examples) the difference amongst: relation, interrelation/interrelationship, relationship?

Thnx

The word " relation " has a lot of meanings. I imagine you probably want the meaning "connection" or "comparison" - an aspect or quality of one thing compared with another thing. The prefix " inter- ", (in this context) means mutual - that is, A stands in relation to B and B stands in relation to A.

  • The prefix " inter- ", (in this context) means mutual - that is, A stands in relation to B and B stands in relation to A.
  • The suffix " -ship " gets you an abstract noun describing the concept of relation.
  • Examples: Wine is strong in relation to beer.
