Difference in Tense

Hi,

What is the difference in terms of timing for the sentences below in relation to the word "open," in other words, which sentence is correct and why.

"I stopped by her house to drop off the dress but no one open the door"

"I stopped by her house to drop off the dress but no one opened the door"

Thank you!
