Difference in meaning between two movie names

There were two movies with similar names. Even As You and I (1917) and Even: As You and I (1937). The only difference is the presence of a colon in the second one. I understand that both names are examples of an ellipsis but I can't see what they really mean and what the subtle difference between them. How can I express the same two thoughts in full sentences?

Top answer

Neither title makes much sense, and the colon is totally unwarranted and means nothing. The 1937 one is an attempt at the surreal, so all bets are off.
