Difference bw "Unable to" and "not able to"

Hi frnds,

ex1: "I am unable to do"

ex2: "I am not able to do"

What is the diffenece on the above sentences, and at which situation we can use those sentences?

Unable means failed to do,not able means no ability to do.

Unable means "no ability";
"not able" also means "no ability".

The meanings are identical.
