Difference beween wear and dress ..

hi there ... i am not a native english speaker ... so i dont know the difference between ..wear and dress.. i have excersices in aim high book level 2 from oxford .. i dont know where to use dress or wear .. help plz

wear needs an object. You wear some article of clothing when you have it on your body.

dress does not need an object. It often has an adverb or the equivalent.
