Difference beween Scalable and Extensible.

Hi

I'm translating a website of softwares, and it says, about one of thier droducts.

"Simple. Flexible. Scalable. Extensible."

I know what scalable means, what exactly extensible means? I can't see the difference.

Would you explain it to me?

thanks,

Hi, I'm translating a website of softwares, and it says, about one of thier droducts. Note that 'software' is not a countable noun. So, don't talk about 'softwares'.

In my opinion:

Scalable: you can easily increase the system capacity. Increase number of users from 10 to 100 to 1000...

Extensible: you can easily expand the system's functionality. Such as an ERM system can be easily added new modules such as CRM, Billing, Accounting, Partnership management, Logistics without the need to replace existing modules.
