Difference between "which" and "that" ? (again)

I hesitate between these 2 sentences:
- I have invented a tool which allows you to do many things
and
- I have invented a too that allows you to do many things

Which sentence is correct ?

I think both of them are correct, instead of "tool" miss-spelling in second sentence.
