Difference between unorganised and disorganised

Hi

I tried to use my dictionaries to know the full difference between the following words, but still...

Could you please help me with these words?

Unorganized

Disorganized

Everything in his room was unorganised/disorganised?

Thanks,

Tom

I think you could use either word in most cases. However, a slight difference in meaning may favor one over the other. "Unorganized" suggests that you have not yet attempted to organize something.
