Difference between tips and ways

I have read numerous articles on the internet with the title 10 ways to earn money and 10 tips to earn money. i was unable to conclude the difference. are these two words ways and tips the same or not?

Generally the same in that sort of situations, but 'tips' are generally short pieces of advice, while 'ways' tend to be longer in explanation or exercise.
