Difference between though and Although ?

Could any one tell the difference between though and Although ?

There isn't much difference. Although may be a little more common at the beginning of a sentence: Although I sent him an invitation, he didn't come to the party. Though is used in clause equivalents or reduced clauses: Though only ten years old, he plays tennis very well.
