Difference between the schools in the US and Vietnam

When I study in the US, I see that there are some differences between the schools in the and Vienam.

One big difference is the clothes students wear at school and how they look. In my country, all the students should wear a uniform when they go to school. They boys aren’t allowed to have long hair past their ears. The girls aren’t allowed to have long or coloured nails. Also students can wear only sandals.

Another difference is about rules for parents. When we begin the year our parents have to go to a meeting in our class. If they don’t go to that meeting, the students won’t have a grade or report card from school.

A class period is only 45 minutes and we have only five periods for five days a week. When the bell rings, all the students just sit still in their classroom. We can’t move to a different room, but we do in the .

We don’t have lunch because after school most students go home. Others go out with their friends to play soccer.

In , students can’t go to work because we can’t find a job if we are under 18. But in the , many students usually work after school. This helps them make money to help them become more independent.
