Hi "Random" means something that happens by chance - there is no explanation for it "Intermittent" means something that happens now and again. It may be random, or there may be a cause that you don't yet know of - The throw of a dice can show any number - it's random - The intermittent faults with your broadband were due to a server error that has now been corrected Dave
