Difference Between Smart/Clever

I do not quite see the difference between the two.

A good dictionary will give you lots of details. Here are just a few of my thoughts. clever - includes the idea that you have a quick mind.

A good dictionary will give you lots of details.

Here are just a few of my thoughts.

clever - includes the idea that you have a quick mind.

smart - focuses a bit more on intelligence.

intelligent - sounds a little more objective. eg We have IQ tests, not tests of cleverness or smartness.

Smart, is a 3-year-old who knows how to bake cookies. Clever, is the 3-year-old who can get to the cookie jar.
