Difference between "might help you with" and "might help you".

Hi .

I came across that the below came from BBC description.

"your expenditure, assets, liabilities and then we project forward to show you what sort of lifestyle you will have if you do nothing at all and if indeed you do some of the things that - perhaps an ISA or a pension or any other kind of financial product - might help you with."

From here speaker used "might help you with" .

I'm not familiar with this structure.

Usually I had been using it like this 'I'll help you'.

or 'it might be helped to you'. not like 'might help you with'.

So I want to know when do I need to use this structure style ? 'might help you [with] '

Carter Lee some of the things that - perhaps an ISA or a pension or any other kind of financial product - might help you with This is not correctly written. It would be correct if the dashes (which, to add insult to injury, they have typed as hyphens) were removed. If the sentence was corrected, the basic idea would be: perhaps X might help you with things (X = "an ISA or a pension or any other kind of financial product") When this is turned round to create a relative clause modifying "things", it becomes: things that perhaps X might help you with Hopefully this will illustrate where the word "with" comes from.
