difference between i am done vs i have done

Hi, Can someone explain me what is the difference between
i am done
i have done.
I have done means just before i have completed that work it has happened in the past (present perfect).
But i dont know when to use "I am done"

Please guide me.

You can say "I'm done." when you've just finished doing something. "I have done (I've done) is unlikely without "it" following it. It often means that you succeeded in whatever you were doing. (I've done it!)
