I don't agree.

Generally speaking, putting a comma between serial adjectives serves no useful purpose, although some people do it. But why have a comma after "warm" and not after "nice"?

But more importantly, the commas in that sentence should be rest

A dog thinks, “These people feed me, love me, take good care of me, and provide me with a nice, warm, dry house . . . they must be Gods!"

A cat thinks, “These people feed me, love me, take good care of me, and provide me with a nice, warm, dry house . . . I must be a ***!"

I shortened the statements and created quotations. As far as the adjectives, I thought the general rule is

The comma after nice is because the writter just want to give the adjective to the word "warm"....
