Difference between deteriorate and degrade.

As the topic says, I can't seem to find the major difference between "deteriorate" and "degrade". They could be used in the same sentence togehter in a technical content.

Could someone help me when to use it and elaborate the "marginal" difference between them from technical perspective?

These data can be direct physical measurements (e.g. crack length, wear amount). From another side, if it is collected indirect physical measurements like bulbs illumination, voltage drop, etc., then these measurements are termed as physical measurements on deteri

Deterioration is a process that is more gradual and less severe than degradation. It seems that degradation has a visible physical reason.
