Difference between department & departmental

Hi

Can anyone highlight me the difference between the word department(noun) and departmental(adjective) How should I use them?

A few examples will be useful.

(Department Management is ...) or (Departmental Management is ...)?

Although "departmental manager" is correct, for a long time now it's been increasingly common to use nouns as adjectives, hence the form "department manager".

I would think that was a compound noun, yes, with capital letters like that.
