would someone plz clarify the difference between continually and continuously

1: they navigate by integrating bearing and distances, which they continuously update in their mind
2: it seems that humans are continually domesticating new species

Continuously has the meaning of never being interrupted. It is like holding down the "e" key on your keyboard when you post and watching the result.

Continually means persistence over a long period of time.. He is continually asking his father for money.

It's like 'continuously' -- without stopping.

The committee worked ceaselessly on providing dental care for the poor.

(They never stopped working on that project. They worked continuously on it.)
