Difference between coarse and crass?

Hi all

I'm a native English speaker yet I don't feel I fully understand in what contexts the word crass would be used. It seems it could be used quite interchangeably with the word "coarse", wherein it describes behavior as unrefined or indelicate or tasteless.

Can it be used to describe tasteless art, music, etc?
