difference between blanks, holes and gaps

Hello,

I would like to know the difference between the words blanks , holes and gaps in this email I received.

Another doubt : I highlighted a sentence from the email. When the word Although was used what did the writer convey to the reader ?

"... I just finished a short story that I am weaving into my novel. The novel is coming along although it is sometimes slow going. I actually was able to print one half of it to look at. Now I have to fill in the blanks, or should I say holes, and some of the holes are quite large. The novel needs more dialogue, so dialogue should fill most of the big gaps. "

thanks

Hi, I would like to know the difference between the words blanks , holes and gaps in this email I received. There's really no difference here. It all just means the writer has not finished parts of the novel.
