Difference Baptism and Christening

Help me please to understand the difference between the Baptism and Christening? The vocublary gives the same definition.
For example, i want to baptize my baby in a church... what the correct way to say it? "to baptize a baby?" or "baby's christening (the ceremony)"?

Hi, Here's the general idea. Baptism - makes the child an official member of the Church. Christening - gives the child a name.
