A: I'm sitting in a cafe and in walk some gentlemen.
B: I'm sitting in a cafe and there walks a gentlemen.

I don't find this natural in what I believe is the intended reading (existential there). Even with locative there it's a stretch, don't you think? Sounds like the gentleman is just walking about aimlessly or pacing to and fro in the cafe.
