Didn't /wouldn't ?

1. Dad didn't lend me the car, so we had to take the train.
2. Dad wouldn't lend me the car,so we had to take the train
What's the difference between the above sentences in terms of meaning?

Didn't simply shows what happened (not why it happened). Perhaps Dad forgot. Wouldn't shows intention (Dad knew I wanted the car but refused to give it to me because I'm a bad driver).

No. If he wouldn't lend you the car he refused to lend you the car. He did not lend you the car.
If he didn't wish/intend to lend you the car, it is possible that he did lend it to you.
