Didn't see it yet

I was watching a vlog today of an american couple. And the guy was talking about a show. The girl replied: ''I didn't watch it yet'', isn't it supposed to be: ''I haven't seen it yet''

Thanks for your reply. As for the capital letters. I was in class, and I used my phone to enter the forum. It was kind of difficult to use capitals, I apologize for that.
