Didn't leak it // hadn't leaked it

Guys, which is correct for the if clause of this sentence? Thanks!!!

A) "How the hell would she know that if somebody didn't leak it?"
B) hadn't leaked it?"

IMHO both are correct. If you wish to lock in the perfect tense, use "How would she have known that etc."

It would be a good idea to wait for confirmation on my opinion. (It might even be possible to use both with "would have known.")
