Didn't and wouldn't?

Hi. Can you help me check this...

Haven't you prepared anything?

No, I didn't think you'd show, so I wouldn't bother.

I posted a similar sentence a few days ago and was told that didn't and wouldn't don't go along well, but is this okay anyway and natural?

Thank you in advance.

The tenses (in the first clause) are fine (did goes with would and do with will) but you need show up rather than show here. so I didn't bother'.

The second clause should still be '...so I didn't bother'.
