Did you have ...

I'm struggling on this phrase that sounds totally weird to me:
"Did you have manually updated the record?"

But I don't seem to find any reliable source on why it is incorrect/correct
I would think that it should be "Did you manually update the record?" or "Have you manually updated the record?"
