Did not do it deliberately

a. I did not listen to their conversation deliberately.

Can't this sentence have two distinct meanings?

FIRST MEANING: I deliberately did not listen to their conversation. I did not listen to their conversation and it was deliberate on my part.
SECOND MEANING: I did listen to their conversation, but it was not deliberate on my part. I could not help it.

Many thanks.
