Did make me remember

- There were lots of changes when I got back to my hometown. There is a very big Buddha's statue and one colossal tower near my house. The pictures about the bamboo did make me remember.

- Are these sentences natural to write?

"There were lots of changes when I got back to my hometown. " I assume you mean that the statue and the tower were built while you were away. The word "now" helps to make this clearer and improve the flow.

  • The word "now" helps to make this clearer and improve the flow.
  • The last sentence should be "pictures of the bamboo", but it doesn't flow very well in my opinion.
  • The connection with what's just been said is not very clear.
