Did I understand the word ' snag'?

As I got off the train, a girl got off together, shouting "just a moment".
Her purse zipper was snagged to my bag.

Her purse zipper might have had a torn metal piece which a hook looking like a shape of metal. It somehow accidently hooked onto my bag, liking together.

Did I understand the word' snag'? Is it also used as noun?

Hi

As a noun, it means an unexpected problem

It can be used in very simple circumstances:

- I'll be with you soon but the snag is, my train has been cancelled

Or it can be used for quite big difficulties, such as in this link:

Thank you for your reply.
Do you use ' He snaged my idea' by meaning that he stole my idea.

I wouldn't. I understand it, but it does not seem to me to carry quite the same meaning.

By the way, can I say like this? Her purse zipper was caught on my bag. In the same way ' snag' and 'hook onto'

Yes, that is fine, too.
