Can anyone here know what i want to express in the sentence.

Besides,are there any mistakes in my sentence?Some of my friends told me that "everything" should be"anything" here.

Some people take social responsibility and other people's feeling as their fundamental point [objective?] of working and settling problems and are not ~~being~~ self-centered in everything.

Which do you mean to say? That these same people who take other people into account are the same people who are not self-centered in anything they do, or that these people are in contrast to other people who are self-centered in everything they do?

I prefer everything to anything. With everything, you are implying that there are indeed some people who are self-centerd in the things they do. With anything, you are saying that these good people are never, ever self-centered. While I've met some people who are pretty self-centered in everything, I've never met anyone who was never self-centered in anything.
