Did i get it right about "reared back"?

She was reared back in her chair, knees crossed, arms folded negligently behind her.

i understand about reared back= she sat on the chair by the support of his back.

am i right about my understanding?

I've heard of crossing your legs, but not of crossing your knees. But Google Ngrams has them both, with 'legs' used about 200 times for every single use of 'knees'.
