I have a question regarding the following conversation script.
......
Man: Nice to meet you ma'am. Thank you for taking this meeting with us.
Woman: A pleasure to meet you as well. Now, what did you want to discuss?
Man: Well, we'd like to talk about possibly handling your taxes for you ....
.....
My question is why she said "what did you" instead of "what do you".
Is there any difference?
