the word dicer in relation to food cutting is usually small dice like squares. but on a food preparation box they call it nicer dicer on box or dicer set. you do not get a set of grids that are squares but several different grids that you slice with or do wedges with. why is it they seem to include dicer as different grids ,very confused. what do think when you see the above?
When I dice something with a knife, I make cubes of whatever size seems right for the recipe. Depending on the degree of fussiness I think is appropriate, I either discard the inevitable odd-shaped pieces from the edges or not. A gadget calling itself a dicer had better make cubes, if you ask me.

thats what i dont undestand a gaget called a dicer makes everything slices etc... why call it a dicer. i also have seen a chef cleaver called a dicer ...yes you can make cubes with this knife or any other knife ,but why do they call it a chef dicer?
In your original post, you finished by asking what do think when you see the above?
I don't mean to be facetious, but the first thing I think is that you don't start any of your sentences correctly. This makes me think that you are careless or you do not have a strong grasp of English.
ok. THANKS.
Could someone help me with why a knife would be called a chef dicer?
I thought bec. dice is used in the different ways I figured it would be a grammar question. Thought I could get some insight on the word dice and how I have seen it used.
Yes i figure its a grammar question bec. trying to find out how dice can be used in a sentence. Like chefs dicer.
