Today i am very happy as i have learnt to read. It was my dream that have come true.the desire to learn was always their in my heart but the circumstances were not favorable am grateful to my granddaughter for being so concentrate and patient with me and taught me how to read in such a short period.
Today she gifted me my favorite novel "KASHI YATRE" written by famous writer Triveni. As I learnt to read,i became very happy to see it.as i identify myself with the novel's protagonist i read it with so interest and became curious to know what will happen next to the protagonist.
Now i feel independent because i learnt how to read and i will not depend on others to know the story.This was only possible because of my granddaughter and her efforts on me to make me able to read.

I am grateful to my granddaughter for being so focused and patient with me and for teaching me how to read in such a short period.

10th April 20xx, Monday

8 p.m.

Dear Diary,

There are no bounds of my happiness today. I have learnt to read and write on my own and the credit goes to my granddaughter. I'm glad that I have Sudha as my granddaughter. Even though she is just twelve, she is kind, amiable and most of all a great teacher! My eyes swam in a blur of water, which overflowed when I winked, and ran and trickled fromthe end of my nose when my granddaughter gave me the novel 'Kashi Yatre'. I had tears in my eyes, but they were of joy, of happiness, of accomplishment and of satisfaction.

I am married, have children and grandchildren and loads of friends but yet I wanted je-ne-ses-quoi. And that is fulfilled only by my granddaughter. I can never forget this day. A 12 year old Sudha taught her 62 year old granny. I felt so jubilant, and after reading 'Kashi Yatre', I felt there is a big communion and similarity between me and the protagonist in this story.

Enough for today. Now I'm off to sharing some good stories to my grandchildren.

today i was very happy as it was the most eventful day of my life.l have seen many happy ocassions in my life but today was my personal achivemet.i had decided to learn reading only few months ago and also set saraswati puja as my deadline for it.And today i have achived my goal.At that time no one have beleive on me.Every one thought i was just a silly 62 years women who had desires.But today i have proved to one and all that "where there is will there is a way".I was very happy and tears of joy filled my heart when my grand daughter handed me the novel 'Kashi-Yatre'.I felt very happy to accept the book from her.It was not just a novel for me it was my dreams and desires to read it independently.i showed every body that their is no age of learning.I felt as if being awarded a certificatefrom my teacher for passing the test with flying colours.

today is the day i feel so happy because my grand daughter had given me the novel kashi yatre as a gift . when she first gave me i just read the title i was so much happy because kashi yatre is my best serial of all time and even she gave me as a gift . and more over today is the day i feel independent because i learned completely the kannada lauguage taught by my grand daughter. anyway i am so blessed to have a grandaughter like this.
