Dialogue

There's dialogue question I can not understand

A: I need your help with my science homework

B: You know I'm not very good at science. Why don't you use the internet?

A: I can't because the teacher wants us to answer the questions in our own words, so you must help me. Here is the first question. What's energy?

B: ..................................

A: That's a wonderful definition. Thank you.

a- Here is my answer: Over millions of years the sun has given plants light and heat which they need in order to grow.

b- I don't know if it's a good definition or not, but I can say energy is what makes living things move and machines work.

My answer is B
