Diagramming sentences

This is the type of mistake in sentences that shows up when we try to diagram. I suggest that you start with a corrected sentence and then try to diagram it: A fellow with short hair was arrested.

so much to help students better understand the structure of a basic

sentence. And it's good, clean fun!!! (If students start doing better,

maybe the politicians, the media, and even some parents will stop

blaming the teachers for everything.)
