Diagonally

There are 4 row of benches in a class and I want every student to sit diagonally to maintain social distance a little bit can I say?

Everyone please sit diagonally in respect to each other (one at the right extreme end then the 2nd student at the left extreme end of the bench).

Are you trying to seat them with two students per bench, one at each end, or are you trying to zig-zag them, with student #1 at one end of bench #1, then student #2 at the other end of bench #2, and so on?
